(1)  Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited institution.

(2)  Hold or Eligible to Obtain a valid State of Florida, Educator Certification in appropriate area.

(4) Coaching experience preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of child development and especially of characteristics of children in the age group assigned.  Knowledge of prescribed curriculum. Knowledge of current educational research. Knowledge of use of current technology such as Spreadsheets, Word, Computer Repair, Basic Troubleshooting, Internet Browsers, Teacher web-site, Presentation Software, Windows. Knowledge of learning styles and skill in using varied teaching methods to address student learning styles. Skill in oral and written communication with students, parents, and others. Ability to plan and implement activities for maximum effectiveness. Ability to effectively assess levels of student achievement, analyze test results, and prescribe actions for improvement. Ability to maintain appropriate student supervision so that students have a safe and orderly environment in which to learn. Ability to work effectively with peers, administrators, and others.

COMPENSATION: Salary range: $32,237 - $66,685


Bus Driver

QUALIFICATIONS:

(1)        High School Diploma or equivalent or currently enrolled in GED program.

(2)        GED requirements must be met within three (3) years of hiring date.

(3)        Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with passenger endorsement and verification of an acceptable driving record through the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).

(4)        Successful completion of driver’s training course as specified by state and federal standards.

(5)        Must be trained in CPR and First Aid.

(6)        Certified physically capable by a physical examination as prescribed by state and federal standards and reflex test administered by the District.

COMPENSATION: SALARY: $13, 585 - $17,085


District School Safety Specialist

The School Board of Liberty County is accepting applications for the job position noted above. QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.

2. Minimum of five (5) years successful experience in education, to include school administrative or supervisory experiences are preferred.

3. Other related professional experience preferred includes student engagement, staff development, and parental involvement.

4. Law Enforcement experience preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

To direct School Safety Services for the District in compliance with law, policy, and regulations in a manner that will ensure the safety and security of students and staff. Plan for and conduct training exercises as required by law and to seek innovative solutions to assist the District in risk management. To assist school-based administrators with crisis management teams and coordinate efforts for the establishment and improvement of district and school safety plans.

COMPENSATION: Salary: $50,000
