Will Hosfod, a junior at Liberty County High School, will be recognized and represent Liberty County as a top scholar in the disciplines of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) during the Sunshine State Scholars program in February 2014. The event will be held at the Orlando Hilton. Will is the son of Ken and Georgia Hosford. Each of the District scholars, along with their parents and a teacher who has served as a significant influence for the scholar, will take part in a two-day program. Students will also meet with representatives from Florida’s colleges and universities who will discuss career and postsecondary opportunities that are available. The top scholars will participate in a breakfast, workshops and an awards luncheon where they will be honored. Congratulations to Will on being selected as our Sunshine State Scholar!
