Liberty County High School
Posted On: Wednesday, February 12, 2014

On Saturday, February 8th, ten students from Tolar and LCHS played solos at the Florida Bandmasters Association District 2 Music Performance Assessment held at the Baptist College of Florida in Graceville.  They worked for months, getting extra help and practicing, to perfect their solos.  The students are scored based on their performance fundamentals, technical accuracy, and musical effect and given a rating of Superior(highest rating), Excellent, Good, Fair, or Poor.  Nine of our students received a rating of Superior and one received an Excellent.  LCHS students include Amber Finch, Chrissy Barber, Bethany Schneider, Andrew Goff, and Matt Campbell.  Tolar students include Seth Neiman, Keegan Kruger, Luke Johnson, Vontris Pierre, and Brandon Garner.  This was the first time some of the students had played a solo.  Each one that received a superior got a medal.  A concert of solos will be held on Tuesday, February 18th at 7:30pm in the LCHS auditorium.  The concert is free!  Come support these students that have worked incredibly hard and achieved these outstanding results.
