QUALIFICATIONS:

(1)  Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited institution.

(2)  Hold or Eligible to Obtain a valid State of Florida, Educator Certification in appropriate area.

(3)  Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and submit to random drug screenings.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of child development and especially of characteristics of children in the age group assigned.  Knowledge of prescribed curriculum. Knowledge of current educational research. Knowledge of use of current technology such as Spreadsheets, Word, Computer Repair, Basic Troubleshooting, Internet Browsers, Teacher web-site, Presentation Software, Windows. Knowledge of learning styles and skill in using varied teaching methods to address student learning styles. Skill in oral and written communication with students, parents, and others. Ability to plan and implement activities for maximum effectiveness. Ability to effectively assess levels of student achievement, analyze test results, and prescribe actions for improvement. Ability to maintain appropriate student supervision so that students have a safe and orderly environment in which to learn. Ability to work effectively with peers, administrators, and others.

(1) High School Diploma OR equivalent OR at least six months of experience with a private food service company. 

(2) Experience in food service work or equivalent is preferred. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: 

Knowledge of and ability to operate food service equipment. Ability to work harmoniously with school staff, students and   fellow workers and provide friendly food service to participants. Ability to understand and follow written, verbal instructions, demonstrate skill in cleanup and serving food.  Ability to work at a fast pace and to stand for long periods of time. 

COMPENSATION: Salary range: $14,282 - $16,102
